| 10:30 a.m. | Holy Communion |
This is the main celebration of our week with music, words of (sometimes whimsical) wisdom, fellowship and a sense of hospitality and welcome (manaakitanga). We usually celebrate the eucharist. If this sounds like you, please do come.
Hospitality in our comfortable community hall usually follows follow the service.
As a welcoming, inclusive church community, we invite baptised Christians of all denominations to either receive a blessing or take communion at our eucharistic services. This may be in one or both kinds (bread and wine). The Vicar is always happy to arrange instruction in the Anglican Christian tradition.

BY ANY OTHER NAME...
Baptism and christening are terms often used interchangeably. This solemn, joyful and uplifting service calls the child or adult candidate by name and affirms them in the Christian faith. Evil is renounced and freedom, truth and life are celebrated.
In the uniquely historic church, or against the beautiful backdrops of Russell, Vicar Chris loves working with you for your special day and the lead-up exploration of faith and love, and an enriched appreciation of each other, that makes your ceremony especially blessed. Contact us for a brochure explaining your options and the costs. Recommitments are a special joy for us to officiate. We are approved by the bishop to bless same-gender commitments.

Whether this is a commemorative memorial service, a full funeral, or an interment in our ash berm, our funeral coordinator will work sympathetically with families to ensure the dignity and prayerfulness that supports them in their loss. To arrange this, please contact the vicar in the first instance.
